![]() ![]() Hopefully this helps.Įdit: I took a slow motion video at 240fps of me actually doing this on the controller, with the screen and input overlay in the background. Side note, uploading video to reddit is a gigantic pain in the ass.Įdit 2: I’m surprised this has gotten as much attention as it has. This topic gets posted a lot so this post was just something I came up with so I can link to it later whenever anyone asks for help with speed flipping. Some other thoughts: I’ve put roughly 20-30 hours into my speed flips. If you’re diamond or below, or have less than say 500 hours in the game, or this is the first complex mechanic you try to learn, don’t be surprised if you can’t hit the ball in mustys training pack within the first 10 hours or so. I was practicing like an hour or two a day for several days before I first hit the ball. I rarely go for them on kickoffs in comp unless we are behind already and close to the end of the game. I’ve recently decided to rededicate myself to really nailing these down and I’m going to warm up with them for 20 minutes each day until I can hit them 99% of the time. Kickoffs are huge in this game so getting to that level is super important to me for progressing.Įdit 3: I didn’t really dive into describing the flip part so I guess I should, that was the biggest thing I struggled with and really that’s the whole mechanic. Ok so there’s a few things you need to understand. One is that you need to stay directly in line with the ball pretty much. You can see in the video I posted that I’m very slightly to the right in one successful attempt and very slightly to the left in the other. ![]() I can tell you right now that that’s pretty much the limit. Any further to either side and you simply will not hit the ball. If the left stick is a clock then 3-3:30, 10:30-11:30, and 6 o’clock are the positions you want to hit for the flip and cancel. ![]() On the first jump, you want to tap your jump button as slightly as possible, because you want the lowest jump possible. I’ve seen people do it with higher jumps but I can’t do it that way so I’m saying jump low lol. So first jump, and 3 o’clock at the exact same time. Then 10:30-11:30 (you just want to be somewhere in that range) and the jump button again for your flip. Now obviously you need to move your left stick to 11 o’clock first, otherwise your second jump will just be a jump and not a flip. The problem is how quickly you need to do this, and the cancel after wards. All of this happens in like less than a second. ![]() I actually spent time practicing just repeating these inputs on the controller without even having it turned on or connected to my pc. Just practicing the motions over and over for muscle memory.Ģ 11 o’clock then immediately tap A again. Then it’s just a matter of getting to the ball, landing on all four wheels, you can tap air roll left to adjust a bit.Automated welding’s unrivaled innovation leaderĪZZ Specialty Welding (originally known as Welding Services Inc.- WSI) has long been considered the gold standard for welding automation in the industrial sectors.
